Polish mobile operator PTC, the Polish brench of network equipment maker ZTE and the Warsaw University of Technology signed a letter of intent on launching a laboratory for broadband technologies at the univeristy. PTC will provide telecommunications services for the laboratory, and ZTE will supply the equipment.

The event will be specifically dedicated to studying the issues of open source-based business models, the nature of licensing system of open source software and its impact on business-making models. We will also discuss entrepreneurial perspectives in the field of FLOSS. |

MOST in cooperation with creativitas.net is to hold a two-day workshop on Creative Thinking techniques. Sebastiano Lombardo, a certified Six Thinking Hats and Latteral Thinking instructor, will deliver a 2-day workshop on creativity stimulation techniques. Sebastiano will also present an international collaborative network creativitas.net, aiming at enhancing thinking, both in a corpotrate or non-corporate setting.

FLOSS enthusiasts, developers and scientists from Poland, Norway and all over Europe will participate in a seminar and workshop on open source operating systems for mobile terminals (smart phones, PDAs, etc.) which will take place in Warsaw on 25th September 2008. Those who cannot travel to Warsaw on that day have a chance to participate remotely via Internet.
